Press Release

To the editor:

The West Boylston Bicentennial has arrived, and volunteers are needed for several events, including a re-enactment of the first town meeting, a grand ball, a military re-enactment, a parade and a major event for the children.

There is at least one event planned for every month of the year.

Now is the time to decide what you want to do to join in the festivities. There are all kinds of events planned including a re-enactment of the first town meeting, a grand ball, a military re-enactment, a parade and even a major event for the children. There is at least one event planned for every month of the year.

Your help is needed in a variety of ways. People are needed to coordinate host families for visiting performers. Someone is needed to organize ticket sales and to service venues that sell tickets to the various events. A coordinator is needed to oversee the volunteers who set up and break down after events. Appeal to your inner artist and help with signs and posters. These are just a few of the opportunities available to you.

There will be a meeting on January 24 at 6:30 pm in the Muriel Stiles Room at the library where you will have the chance to see all the opportunities available to you. Sign up sheets will be awaiting your signature.
