WEST BOYLSTON— JR's Crafts and Gift at Centerwood Terrace now has the complete line of Bicentennial souvenirs. According to Sue Delaney, the owner of JR's, it is the only store in town that has the shirts, mugs, pins, ornaments and other items commemorating the 200th anniversary of the town. Although, she noted, they are still available at the Historical Society and West Boylston Insurance.

Delaney said all the proceeds from the sale of the souvenirs go to the Friends of the Bicentennial. In order to do this, she said that JR's can only accept cash or checks for the items.

Since the souvenirs are for a non-profit group, they are tax free, Delaney said. She added that checks must be made out to WB200.

To promote the souvenirs, Delaney has put a small display of the items in her window. In the short time the store has had the products, Delaney said they have turned in around $200 to the Friends group. She said she anticipates carrying the items through the end of the celebration.

As a small business, Delaney said she could not afford to make a large monetary contribution to the celebration.

"This is our contribution to the two hundredth anniversary. I can give up the time and space to do it," she said.

The JR's Crafts and Gifts is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
